In addition to the limited edition Coyote Brown Nite-Tac reviewed herein, Para offers several other variants. All feature an accessory rail. The Nite-Tac SS is a single-stack 1911 rendered in stainless steel with the LDA trigger system. Another Covert Black Nite-Tac model, a hi-cap variant with the LDA trigger, can also be had. If cocked-and-locked carry is more your style, consider the single-stack Covert Black 1911 Nite-Tac.

There is no getting around the fact that wide-body pistols are not for everybody. Double-stack .45s challenge my medium-sized hand and the Nite-Tac is right on the edge of my practical limit. Despite that fact, my performance did not seem to suffer and I grew rather fond of the Nite-Tac.

Light-bearing guns are no longer limited to SWAT and continue to grow in popularity. I am familiar with several police agencies that now issue pistols with lights affixed for all of their patrol officers. In this role, the Nite-Tac would be a perfect fit. Consumers in need of a home defense pistol would also be well served by the Nite-Tac and mounted light.

Final Notes

The Nite-Tac stands as a welcome addition to the extensive Para Line. As for this limited edition, excellent sights and a unique finish make it a real contender. The Coyote Brown Nite-Tac is a lot more than just another pretty face.
